Psi Sigma Phi Multicultural Fratenity, Incorporated

The Valiant Mu Chapter at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte

The UNC Charlotte Valiant Mu Chapter of Psi Sigma Phi represents one of the first multicultural fraternities in the nation. The organization was co-founded on December 12, 1990 at Montclair State University and New Jersey City University respectively in New Jersey by eighteen radical, illustrious, revolutionary gentlemen with one goal, to break social fears, racial ignorance, intolerance and bring forth awareness of multiculturalism into our society while achieving lifelong education and co-existence among men of diverse cultural backgrounds, ethnicity, race and beliefs. Their founders felt the need to create an organization which not only offered a bond of unity and lasting friendship, but a fraternity which would emphasize  the  importance of multiculturalism in the lives of today’s college students.
